My 4 year old son is very sick with a UTI. he is in alot of pain when he wees and us running a really high fever. we took him to the doctor and got antibiotics and pamol yesterday. He is flat out refusing to take any medicine. I have tried EVERYTHING i spent hours last night explaining how important it is to take it, i tell him that its a superhero medicine and it will kill all the bugs in your tummy making you sick. I tell him this is the only way your going to get better or else you will end up in hospital. Iv tried bribing him with lollies, treats, toys a trip to mcdonalds, anything! In the end i tried squirting it in his mouth, he spat it out and started gagging. I have no idea what to do now. Next plan is to take him back to the doctors and ask them to explain the importance of taking medicine. In the past when he had a UTI as a baby he couldnt keep the medicine down and would throw it up straight away and ended up in hospital with a drip. Any advice would be appreciated!
