My daughter started with a high temperature along with neck and head pain. In a and e she collapsed and was unresponsive for 4 mins then followed a very nasty fit lasting over 7 mins. First was thought menagities but then said bacterial infection somewhere so started on antibiotics. After the fit she lost all control of body and couldn’t even drink from straw for nearly an hour until vomiting heavily and things picked up a little. She then slept and every few hours her head pain would come back with a vengeance followed with temp spiking. This continued for another ten days but was discharged after a few days. Told it was a virus that had hit her brain first causing visible swelling to throat, ears, nose and back of neck. Antibiotics was stopped the day following her being admitted as doctor felt it was more viral. However was put on antibiotics a few days after being home as throats was very swollen and causing a cough. Now she’s picked up in most ways but just isn’t right. She’s developed a very sudden on set of o.c.ds and her emotions just not right. My daughter is 5 and I’d say her personality has really changed!!
I’ve been doing some reasearch and I’ve come across a condition called pandas that is brought on my strep virus…..
Do any of you know anyone who has been diagnosis or had similar please. Just after some advise here as feeling very concerned. Thankyou in advance xx

I’d get her check out again at hospital or with your local GP that know her better . I hate when things are just put down to a virus . Did she have a brain scan to see if there was on damage down from unresponsive 4 minutes and fit lasting 7 . I know it’s easier said than down don’t goggles symptoms as they’ll alway give the worst result . Is she happy in herself eating drinking interacting with you and others .
