Please can anyone offer some advice I have just put a claim in for PIP as I have a number of problems at the moment but I’m also currently pregnant and have a 20 month old, my doctors are rubbish and I’ve been to 3 different hospitals which all have notes on my care but my doctors can only see one of them as the others aren’t in the area, stupid I know, my doctors don’t seem interested but I have applied for PIP and I know I will have to go for an assessment a couple of my problems are slipped disc, depression and anxiety and I’m struggling with my mobility with my slipped disc especially being pregnant and having spd to, will it all depend on what my doctors say or should I say don’t say as they don’t have a clue or is it on me and the assessment, I drive so I manage to get around ok but if I didn’t drive I’d really struggle I’ve now been referred to physio and using support belts, can anyone give me any advice as just ringing them has made me feel so anxious that due to health professions I won’t be entitled as I’m just passed from pillar to post

  • You’ll be fine. As long as you have a diagnosis in what your applying for it for you should be ok. I have aspergeres and I receive pip also. No one bar you knows how much you struggle so do make sure you state that you would struggle if you didn’t drive and even when you are out the car you do struggle still etc x

  • The final decision is down to the medical professional that assess you. Good luck with it as I think your going to need it x
