Please can I have a post.
The guy I’m seeing lied to me today. I haven’t mentioned that I know and do know how to handle it. Long and short if it is that one of his friends had a show today. And because we are taking it slow and people don’t yet know we are seeing eachother…he didn’t want this friend to see together. I won’t bore you with the long story to that.
However I asked him before today if he was going to the show. It was only about an hour and he said he wasn’t going for a few reasons. Not least because he had a stag do last night and would have had no sleep and would be too tired. I’d also said I’d be sad if we couldn’t go together..anyway he wasn’t going.
So today he’s been texting all day. Every hour since 9am. Which is more than he’s usually in touch. Anyway..I ask him at 11 ish if he’s out. He said yes but only in Basildon getting a hair cut. I said…oh I didn’t wonder if youd crept off to Southend ha ha. He said no. Juts hair cut. Then I was out driving today and saw his car at the show. So he was there.
I have no idea how to handle this. We have been on rocky ground for 2 years hence us keeping thins private atm between us. This lie has knocked me off my feet.
YES it’s only a mate he went to see. So I tell myself not to make a big deal. BUT then it feels huge cos it’s cool concrete proof he’s lied to me. If I start a row about it I could lose our rel. But I’m not sure I can keep calm 🙁 AM I OVER REACTING?
