Please can I have a private post?
I’m really at my whits end with my daughters behaviour who is 9. She’s never been a child that appreciates the word no. Last week she stole £5 off me and spent it at the corner shop. Afterwards she told me that she had stolen it and I told her she had to pay me back out of her pocket money. Today she’s asked for money to go to the shop and I refused because of last week. So she proceeded to trash my house, physically push me and swore at me. I’ve grounded her but she’s just going through the house smashing things up. Last year she managed to rip my door off its hinges. I took her to the GP who told me to contact social services for support but I’m very reluctant to do so. I went on the triple p parenting course a few years ago, which did nothing to help. I’ve also spoken to school, but she is brilliant there and bends over backwards to help her teachers etc so they don’t want to know. I’m just feeling like such a failure at the moment and I don’t know what to do
