Looking for some advice for separated parents and Christmas.
What does everyone do regarding Christmas?
My little one lives with me and sees her dad at the weekend on a Saturday, this has been agreed through court and nothing set regarding Christmas. I’ve offered to split Christmas each year, he can have 9 till 1 then she comes back to mine or vice versa each year with times. The reason I thought this amount of time, as where she’s only 13 months old, her routines and bed time are quite early. This way I thought we both got roughly the same amount of quality time with her together to enjoy presents etc. he is usually quite late, if I say one it’ll probably be closer to 2.
He has refused this offer saying it is a silly offer and to stick it. Am I being reasonable or am I seeing this completely different? I thought it would be nice for our daughter to see both her parents on Christmas and feel this amount is fair. Any advice on how else to split it is welcome.
