Please could I have a post
Feeling like a crap mum atm kids are on school holiday and everyone seems to have great plans. My other half works all week so it’s just me and kids we don’t have loads of spare money to go here there and everywhere wondering if anyone can give me ideas what to do with them I feel like I’m letting them down having no plans everyday and the weather hasn’t been great either to help matters x Thanks x

  • If it makes you feel any better, we have done absolutely nothing so far! My back is playing up, and it keeps bloody raining all the time. There’s still a lot of time to do something! I’m planning a lot of picnics if the weather picks up 🙂 going to pretty cheap/free places for the kids to run around and it only cost the petrol/parking. Also gonna go to the cinema, you might have one local that does cheap morning movies at about £2.50 each and just take own treats/drinks in 🙂

  • Don’t knock yourself down chick! Small things are memories! Baking, making rice crispy cakes, drawing, painting, having a picnic indoors with blanket etc on the floor, planting seeds in plastic cups and once ready planting them in the garden 🙂 x

  • Think we all feel when the kids are on school holidays we have to take them out and spend money! Its not the case, So far we have baked cakes, Built dens in the room and watched a film, But the best was sorting their bedrooms out and then finding games they havent played for ages!!! Just wing it us mammys put to much pressure on ourselves, Enjoy being with them and making memorys 😊

  • I feel the same, it’s raining where we live, I have a 5 year old, twins that are 3 and a half (one has autism) and I’m 32 weeks pregnant and my partner works full time 😂 we’ve done lots of walks in the woods even when it’s raining, done treasure hunts with chocolate coins around the house, bakes cakes, done cushion forts using the sofa, and dens under the table things like that! Will be doing beach walks when he run comes out, also may go to soft play once or twice it’s just so crowded for my autistic son and so expensive! X

  • I’m in the same boat and my boys have all been a bit poorly so so far we’ve not left there house but we’ve done lots of colouring and they’ve built dens in their bedroom. We have rain also so puddle jumping is on the cards when we’re all feeling up to it x

  • Go to the park with a picnic and some out door games (depending on ages) also see if your children’s centre has anything going on during the holidays xx

  • I did a little chart like this and let the girls choose some ‘days out’ as treats. Lots of things to do that don’t cost much. C
