Please post privately! I was woken by my neighbour banging on my door at 11pm tonight to say there were maggots on our bin and the are all over the communal car park and going up his door!! I have been to the 24 hour shop brought everything google told me to and tried to kill as many as we could then using the hose to try and get them to the drain! I feel physically sick I have been reading lots of threads online!! But what can I do? Bin day isn’t till FRIDAY (two week collection) I have placed something heavy on the bin lid and filled it with fly spray! With it being a communal car park can the other houses complain about us to the council? What would happen? We are a brought property! But the houses behind us are council… I’m so worried! I feel so bad for everyone using the car park… it’s now 2am and I can’t sleep worrying about if they come back now and everyone wakes up to it!!! Any advice! Ovbiously I know for future to double bag food waste etc… thank you
