Pp no bashing please I’m at my wit’s end so I’m a full time career for my mom who’s had a stroke I cook meals I help dress her I make sure she’s safe I give medicine I help her with the toilet my sister is on holiday this week so she’s staying with me so I’m basically doing the full time care 24 hours a day I’m a full time mom aswell and have 2 children and I’m 28 weeks pregnant I’m so stressed because I littrely don’t have a life I can’t go food shopping on my own I can’t go anywere alone I mean anywere my brother and sister in law could help but choose to just pop in say hello and then lesve!!! Really pisssed me off there children are grown up I love caring for my mom but feel like I also need a break aswell Shirley there being selfish???? Leaving it all to.me for 2 weeks (my sister said she wouldn’t go on holiday but she deserves it she does the night time xx

  • Plus her mind is fully there I really don’t want her to be put into homecare because she may think I don’t want her or something Xx

  • Please add we have tried home care they never turn up on time and they don’t stay the full time we have taken it up with a few companies but because there in uch high demand they don’t listen to the customer xx

  • Please can you add is hard for my mom aswell because sometimes she wants a change to who she’s sees she’s probably fed up with me some days some days I want to go out she doesn’t or some days I want to be at home and she wants to be at hers it’s so hard Xx

  • You can get respite if thats something your mother will agree too? Its tough on both parties as your doing something that crosses normal boundaries but if you give adult social services another call they can arrange a few weeks in the year for you to have a break. I think you can also hire a certain person to help, but youl have to check that out as im not sure if it will be fully funded with u being a main carer. xx
