Bit of a long one but bare with me please 😬😬
About 4/5 weeks ago I had hyper sensitive skin down my legs & bum.. it feels like horrendous sunburn and even the cold of the toilet seat is unbearable & I also got really bad shooting pains in the bottom of my feet that would come on Randomly, I could hardly walk and spent 2 weeks in bed, it felt like I was being stabbed in the soles of my feet. At the same time I had a kidney infection so was back and forth to a&e and they would only treat the kidney infection not the pain in my legs/feet. I went to my gp about 3 times in the space of the two weeks and they did a referral to Neurology & said he thinks I’ve slipped a disk in my back and it’s irritating nerves. Anyway it eventually got better and went away.. until now.. it’s back again but only affecting my right leg, the hyper sensitive skin and the shooting pains but now the shooting pain is in my toes and the pad that connects to the toes. Has anyone else had this? I’m still waiting for my app with neurology. I’ve tried every pain med, nothing even touches it. I’ve just started a new job too so can’t take any time off and I’m so scared it goes to both legs again. I’ve booked myself in for a massage tomorrow so I’m hoping it’ll help somewhat. Just wondering if anyone has had this and knows what it could possibly be and what could help manage the pain?
Also – it’s not shingles – gp has ruled that out.
