Any advice welcome – I’m at my wits end!!! No judgemental or nasty comments please
My son is 8 months old and still wakes 1-2 times in the night. I’ve tried just rocking him to sleep, leaving him in his cot and jiggling his bum to get him back to sleep, tried water instead of milk and he doesn’t have any of it. He will usually wake at around 11-12 and happily drink 3-4 oz milk. Then at about 4am for another 2-3 oz. he has 3 meals a day and snacks. When he wakes during the night it takes about 40 mins for him to settle back down. He does what seems to be sleep crawling too – crawls but doesn’t lift his head up and ends up at the top of his cot so I move him back down. I tired water instead in case it’s just thirst but he takes a small amount before realising it’s not milk. I tired this and gave up and gave milk instead as I am absolutely exhausted. He is also in his own room and has been since 6 months old. I honestly feel like I’m failing him and I’m exhausted too at the same time. Id do anything for a full nights sleep.

My 10 month old still wakes 3 times a night, all babies are different, they are only babies once and it won’t last forever. My daughters cot is next to my bed with the side off for easy access and as I breastfeed I can stay in bed, feed her and put her back x
It’s normal for an 8 month old baby to be waking up for night feeds, that’s just the way it is, and the crawling thing sounds like a sleep regression, that bit should get better within a couple of months
My son didn’t start sleeping through until he was 2! And even then it wasn’t every night. Sorry, sleepless nights are part and parcel. Have you not got anyone who can take him for a night and give you a rest? x
My little boy is nearly 2 and still doesn’t sleep all night. Your little boy might be having a growth spurt I’m sure they do around 8/9 months don’t worry your doing great x
Do you still give him milk during the day as well as his meals?
My son didnt sleep threw till 3! He’s only little I wouldn’t worry he’s maybe hungry n does need the milk feeds x
