  • I had this trouble and then I made it into a game I said things like what sounds does a lion make and she would roar (open mouthed) same with dinosaur, practically anything that would make her open her mouth. I used lots of praise and patience. Now she has no problems.

  • Reward chart .. You make one and let her decorate it buy stickers from the £1 shop and every day and night she brushes her teeth she gets a sticker a and at the end of the week you reward her with something. Dont make it a chore or a hassle of it becomes a game She’ll enjoy it… Or … Have a competition at who can brush there teeth the best with her xx

  • I brush mine and my lg does hers at the same time I once asked the dentist about this and I recall them saying even if they chew the brush with toothpaste on it all helps as it still goes in the mouth.

  • Try the tooth brushes that acctully have songs on and tell her when they stop singing (they since for 2 mins) she can stop brushing they are quite a bit more expensive but think it would get her to brush them if she has a fav artist or song she dances to x

  • I sing to my son while I brush his teeth, he’s 11 months and he’s had his front 8 teeth since he was about 5 months old so it’s taken time but he lets me do it now. At first he would cry and then dip his face in the bath as if he was threatening to drown himself :’) He was crying because he wanted to hold the toothbrush himself, so I persevered and every morning and night I’d fight to brush his teeth, then put the toothbrush out of sight until he stopped crying, then hand it back to him for him to have a go himself. I didn’t want him to think he can get what he wants by purposefully crying, and it worked, now he opens his mouth and lets me brush them
