Ppp, help *tax credits*
Basically December 2015 my ex moved out, he went to live in a house share…i claimed income support , child tax credit.
I found out it was pregnant in the march..
In the June 2016 he moved houses due to not getting on with his housemates and according to tax credits he gave my address as his when he moved!!! .I’ve only just found out! (Via a phone call)
Tax credits wanted proof he didn’t live here 2 weeks ago as he was obviously linked to my address that’s fine…
i sent them my gas and electric notification letters (im on key and card) and council tax letter, and a few other bits they asked for but have just had a phone call to tell me that they are going to stop my tax credits because it didn’t include bank statements, ( i use the app and haven’t don’t online banking in years and don’t have paper statements) wrote on the information sheet that they asked me to fill that he was the father of my kids which is why he was named at this address, and he still had post here etc ..,
I have asked him to change it but he obviously never has, the only one he’s told me about from tax credits was re Payment from a joint claim…
What the hell happens now?
Obviously i had a child in September 2016, i have them a birth certificate to show he’s the father of my children, and the date she was registered, along with his address on it, but the guy was so nasty and said we should be making a joint claim.. and my tax credits are possibly not going to be renewed because of it.. anyone been in the same situation? Im so upset and stressed, without that money my kids won’t eat…and i will not afford to live, I’ve been a single parent for the last 19 months and if that isn’t hard enough now this
