I started a new job at the end of April. At interview they were aware that I would soon be going to have an operation and would be having two weeks off. Little did we know that literally the day before I started the hospital rang and gave me my operation date. It was a lot sooner than expected and meant that I could only work at my new job for three days before going off to have the operation.
When I returned, I handed them my sick note which was all fine. When pay day came they had only paid me £4 per week in sick pay?!?!
No my contract states that statutory sick pay applies so surly I should be getting £89.50 per week that I was off?!
My manager is looking into it as an external finance company deals with all of the finances but I’m just wondering if anyone else had been in a similar situation or could shed a light into what might happen please ☺️

I had this and it was just a Payrole error and they very quickly amended it
