PPP older “mums” I have a very almost 13 year old!!! Daughter who I feel I’m losing?! She will be 13in August but…..it’s like we clash? Completely?! Never ever on the same page? She argues with everything I do? I suppose as an adult I probably question everything she does also? I can see both sides? Just wanting advice really as I sooooo want to be her friend “closeness” mother daughter bond? yet feel it’s impossible? I want so badly to be close with her? I try constantly but?? I’m getting absolutely no where? I’ve tried being on her level? It’s just so difficult as I see her in me I “see” her next move? I just really want to have a “closeness” with her yet it’s just constantly fighting! Not me….she kicks off big time! Constantly! Coz I say no?! I no obv I have to have a “parental” role but I want us to have a “friendship” and way we are going at the moment can’t actually see it happening? Probably really stupid post as I did eventually have a “friendship” with my own mum unfortunately lost her few years ago so at a lost right now?! Is this normal??? This feeling of can’t do right??! X
