Private post please.
I currently have a 2 year old. My child’s father pretty much picks and chooses when he comes around (once a week if that) due to his drug and alcohol lifestyle. He rarely calls or answers his phone. About once every week or two weeks his mother will call and ask me to meet her to see her grandchild and she always calls him to show up. Is it wrong of me to not want to make any effort to do so when it’s never consistent? Why does my schedule have to revolve around them? They never pick up my child or offer to. It seems mandatory that I’m present or they won’t visit with my child. I’m having a hard time- I don’t know if I’m just being petty because of the built up anger over the years or if I should legitimately be upset. Should I be worried about how this come and go relationship is making my child feel? Side note: he is not on child support, doesn’t buy her anything, and no arrangements have been made through the courts.
