Private post please.
I need to leave my partner but have no where to go and he has in the past refused to leave our private rented accommodation. I want to do this once our baby is born as he will need to care for the others while I’m in hospital. I’ll also then be on maternity leave so I won’t need to worry about childcare. My question is can I sign up for council accommodation before I leave or do I have to be off this tenancy first? I physically won’t be able to move out until middle to end of February due to my section but I have no where to go if I leave here before I get any where else and I CANNOT stay with my “oh” any longer than is nessasary after the birth as the environment isn’t healthy for either of us (no safegaurding issues for the children) TIA
