So my ex is saying if i go through child maintenance allowance and claim what he owes that he wont be able to afford to travel to see her, he works away mon-fri and currently comes back weekends. Despite earning about 25 grand a year and owning an expensive audi (which he pays monthly on finance)
I can’t help but feel he is emotionally manipulating me into getting out of paying. What are your thoughts? He’s asking to make an arrangement without involving any child maintenance service, I think I’m willing to try this or is it a bad move. Currently 27 weeks pregnant with my first so have no idea about this type of thing. Thanks in advance x

Depends how much you trust him to pay. My ex has paid via his bank monthly for 9 years and never missed a payment x
Don’t listen to him.
He will have to downgrade his car and look after his child.
