Can anyone give me advice… I have 8 year old twins and the last week I’ve let them walk halfway to school and back I will meet them at the road crossing we are about a 8 min walk from the school… the teachers allow them to walk out the gates so I thought there wouldn’t be a problem and felt quite confident that my twins would be fine they are together and sensible… but earlier today I had a phone call from social services saying they had a anonymous phone call to say I let my twins walk home from school.. I said they were 8 and I meet them halfway.. they didn’t say they couldn’t the conversation didn’t really have any outcome… she asked if I would give permission for them to talk to the school and I said no we are all fine thanks and that was that… bit odd really!? As she said they couldn’t walk to school… so what are the rules with this? I will speak to the school tomorrow

Ps also strange that social services knew my name and phone number and that I had twins… very odd
