Private post please

I moved away from my ex partner almost 2 years ago (we split a month before my daughter was born and she is now 5) he was controlling and abusive but he was neglecting and abusive to my eldest daughter (my child not his) when I moved a police officer heard what my daughter had gone threw and advised that she press charges. Cps dropped it as not enough evidence.
That was almost 2 years ago he has since got in a new relationship and it due a baby next month but is now threating court action to see his daughter.
I know if he sees her just once he will never give her back. His family are a mess,I have since found out that he has cheated on his pregnant girlfriend (did it too me too) but she believed him as I did.
He hasn’t paid a single penny in maintenance and csa are currently taking him to court due to arrears. He support to pay £9 a week but earns in excess of £600 per week (self employed and don’t declare all his earnings)

I’m not a mother how is unreasonable my eldest daughter has regular contact with her dad (after my ex partner cut all access before using controlling behaviour) and would allow my youngest to see her dad but I’m scared for her safety and well being. And genuinely worried not out of spite.

I don’t know if I can get legal aid as it says provide evidence of abuse but cps dropped it.

What can I do? My job as a mother is to protect my children I already failed one child I son not want to fail another.
