privite post please !!!! as relativ on site please dont post unless private im on my period and my 8 year old walked in and asked me loads of questions thinking i was dieing. i didnt know what to say ??? she got scared and i explained that bleeding is normal and that she will hav it whn she is older and it means that you turn into a young lady and can hav babies! im mortified that iv had to explain this to her. i have another 5 nearly 6 and i know she will talk about it with her i dont know what to do im so upset was i in the wrong to explain ?? i showed her the differnt padding to hav and explained about how to keep it discreet. i started when i was 10 so thought it best to explain than lie but i feel so bad. have i done wrong to explain and tell the truth im worried she will talk to her younger sibling about it and thy will ask. i wish it didnt happen i was on the toilet door shut and she walked in im mortified 😣😥

What is there to be mortified about? It’s a period! She needs to know and so does your 6 year old at some point ! It’s not a dirty little secret they shouldn’t know about, don’t panic yourself xx
