Supermarket Backlash From ‘SEXIST’ T-Shirts!

Morrisons is facing a massive backlash after a concerned mother noticed something troubling with their t-shirts.

Whilst holiday shopping Shelley Roche-Jacques was upset to see boy’s t-shirts with the phrases ‘Little man, big ideas’ and ‘King of the castle’, while a girl’s tops featured ‘Little girl, big smiles’ and ‘Pretty little me’ on it.

Shelley Roche-Jacques shared the image and her concerns on Twitter.

Shelley stated in her tweet that Morrisons: “don’t think much of girls.”

Morrisons responded to Shelley on social media, saying: “Sorry you feel this way! I’ve fed this back to our buyer for review. Thanks for raising this.”

A spokesperson for the supermarket told The Sun: “Girls t-shirts with slogans like these are very popular with our customers – there are also girls t-shirts with ‘I want to be a rock star’ and ‘girl power’ messages in store now.”

What do you think of this?
Are these tops promoting sexism to our youth or are they just clothes and it doesn’t matter?
