These Aren’t Ok For School?

One mum shared her upset over a teachers comments regarding her son’s school shoes

Literally livid right now!!!! These are the only shoe my liam can wear due to his asd and sensory issues, anything else and he takes them off part way through the day more than once. His teacher said they arent shoes yet they were sold in the shoe section at clarkes… and cost me £40 and with 2 other children and not just shoes but p.e trainers it cost me a small fortune! The teacher said go out and buy a new pair!!!! Really cant believe how ignorant some people can be 🙁

Several parents commented that they had similar issues as schools don’t want children wearing shoes with Velcro, and demanding children wear lace up or smart slip on shoes.

I have a child with autism and Dyspraxia he can barely dress himself let alone do shoe laces.

What’s your thoughts? Should schools be so fussy on children attire?

What’s wrong with them? They are smart and they are shoes . bloody idiotic morons that run schools they are more interested in what the kids are wearing than teaching the kids when we were at school some kids wore black plimsolls as the parents couldn’t afford shoes, some of those kids went on to Grammar school then university. Hell it doesn’t matter what they have on their feet. They are shoes!!

  • Some kids seem to get away with trainers throughout the whole year and others get picked up on this type of shoe. I think the school is being far too picky and pathetic………
