Can anyone help… my father is a single dad he has joint custody of his youngest daughter aged 9 she lives with him friday-monday all holidays and when she is ill and of school he lives in a 1 bedroom bunglalow and its never really been an issue before but now she is getting older she needs her own space… he has spoken to the council a few times about this but there response it that because the child bennefit is not in his name he cannot claim she lives with him… even though shes with him more than her mum… it could be a possibility that her mum changes the child benefit ti him so he can try and get a bigger house… does anyone have any experience with this or has any advice, much appreciated
