Can I have a private post please?
We have had ongoing issues with bailiffs for a while. As soon as they contacted us, I arranged a payment plan but they said the least I could pay was 120 every two weeks. This was about 80% of my wages at the time. I said I couldn’t afford It, but was told it’s that or nothing. I was a care assistant at the time but 0 hour contract, and my hours dropped to about 5 a week. I couldn’t physically pay them the money. My husband works full time but his wages barely cover our bills, and when I gave up my job because the childcare wasn’t worth 5 hours a week, we really struggled. My question is, if they won’t let me arrange a payment plan I can afford, then will they just keep coming to try and take my stuff? Not like I’ve got a lot anyway, an old tv and an Xbox 360! I read on citizens advice to just try and tell them what you can afford, but it says nothing if they refuse it. I suffer with severe anxiety anyway and I’m scared to be in my house at all now. No bashing please, the bailiff was a for council tax because we simply didn’t have the money for it (Hubby got sacked for being off I’ll ages ago and we’re still trying to catch up!) I am due to start full time work in a few weeks, so want to sort things out but can’t right now!!
