I am due my first baby in November.
I don’t want to sound like a prude but how do you go about telling heavy smokers that you don’t want them to go near your new born baby.
The doctors advised me that smokers carry the nicotine/smoke on their clothes and increases the risk of cot death. My partners dad, who will be grandfather is a chain smoker. If he ever holds the baby it is likely to be not long after a cigarette as he doesn’t go very long without one.
Am I worrying too much? I don’t want to offend him or my partner but I don’t want that increased risk.
