Hi, I’m hoping to get some advice, guidance or something from other mums about breastfeeding.

My boy is almost 9 weeks old, and has stopped latching to my nipples at 5 weeks old. I’ve never produced enough milk, so was being being combined feed with bottled formula.

I don’t produce enough to express all his feeds, so he’s on more formula than before, which is not what I wanted.

He takes the bottle easy. Refuses my nipples, often will start crying, pushing away or screaming whilst I’m offering or coaxing him to take.
I’ve tried nipple shields, but he doesn’t take them properly and gets stressed so back to the bottle.
Ive also tried various positions and skin to skin but nothing.

1 day last week he did randomly latch back on, but for no more than 30 seconds and was very fussy, and is now back to outright refusal.

I don’t know what to do next. Is there anything else to try? To I try harder? For a longer time? Just give bottles and whatever I can express? Stop breast milk entirely?
The situation is stressing me, making me rather upset and feeling like it’s all my fault and I’m stuck to decide what to do next.
