Hiya could I have a private post please. I’ve been seeing this lad for 9 months, I knew he liked a drink but I’ve never seen it as an issue. He met my kids for the first time Friday at a party and he was merry drunk, I brushed it off. Last night we were meant to go to the cinema , I was running late so let him know and offered to drive to another cinema a bit later on. He said I’ll be half cut by then, he’d been out for an hour already.
I said it didn’t matter, as I was driving home I thought of how every date we’ve had has ended up in a pub – I was really disappointed about the film and I told him, he said I was making an issue out of nothing and he was only joking. He said he was pissed off at me for getting ratty with him and pissed off for missing the film. I tried to apologise and he just said up until tonight he could see a future with me, now he couldn’t but he was not changing for anyone. He’s not spoke to me since. Am I over reacting? All I wanted was one night where we just went out and had a laugh without him having a skinful
