Hello.
Could I have a private post please.
New mummy again after 8 years & at my wits end.
Little one is almost 4 weeks and we are struggling with wind & I presume colic/ screaming and pulling legs up, hard tummy etc..
Started on TT anti colic bottles, i think the no1 teat size is too small as maybe he takes in too much air, it also makes him go to sleep after almost every feed (5 to 6 oz) but done in 2oz or 3oz as he nods off as if they are too much hard work for him.. within an hour he is screaming in pain… Teat size 2, he guzzles the milk very fast, maybe too fast, but i do 2 to 3oz & wind him, maybe this causes the wind also, I’m not sure.. Tried the Nuk bottles that were recommended by hospital but they are even faster flow than the TT no2.. no good at all.
Also tried the TT variable teat and he choked on both attempts.. I am starting him on dentinox drops today also..
Just feel like a failure, my anxiety I getting worse by the day, chest pains etc & dreading him waking up as I know he will just be so upset & I can’t help him. I had a very bad time after little one was born, I was rushed to hospital with postpartum preeclampsia & almost passed away, was kept in almost 2 weeks recovering & I find that hard to deal with also, maybe it’s my hormones all over the place & that’s why I feel useless… sorry for long post, I hope everyone has kind words of help.
