Hi, can I have a private post please?
My partner has a child with his ex, who is also in a relationship with someone else, they’ve been together just over a year. My partner is still very much in his child’s life, fighting through court for more access etc …. basically what is the view of others in this child calling his mother’s partner daddy? Sadly it’s not coming from the child’s own views, it’s been drummed in to him 😔

I have a step son would not even want him to call me mummy, he has his mummy 😕 i am Casey, a friend, daddy’s wife to be, a motherly figure, and mum to his siblings But won’t ever be his mum or take the place of his mum it’s wrong and confusing, I think it’s not nice on the other parent at all xx
It’s wrong for her to drum it into him or allow it as his dad is in the picture. Would she like it if the kid was to call you mummy? I wouldn’t think so, I certainly wouldn’t!
I agree it is wrong .. but aslong as he nows his daddy is daddy ones hew old enough he will se how much his dad has been there and fought to see him .. i think alot of parents who split up forget children grow up and one day make ther own decisions xx
Completely wrong imo. Even if bio dad wasnt involved I still don’t agree, should always correct them. You only get one mum and dad. But theres not much you can do unfortunately but atleast he will know he is his dad and his son can make his own mind up once hes a little older xx
Wrong how would she like it if her child was calling someone else mum she wouldn’t! You only get one mum and dad it’s as simple as that d
Noway would I alow that, rediulous, A child only has one mum and one dad SIMPLE AS THAT
Nope nope nope… my boyfriend is known as his name for now and I will let me son decide when he is older… yes I don’t like my ex but he is his dad x
Wrong totally wrong xx
