hi could i have some advice from anyone who knows about renting properites as i dont think this is legal but im clueless with this sort of stuff.So I’m renting a property through an estate agent and 2 weeks ago they told me the landlord was selling the house (fair enough) a week after they wanted to come round and take pictures of the house to put on their website,i told them thats fine but i was going to greece for a week the day after so if they could wait until i got back i could make it like a showroom for them,i asked them if they could wait until i got back instead of entering the property without me being there.They gave me loads of abuse on the phone saying they can enter whenever they like if theyve given me notice.That was that.fast forward a week,get back last night and theres a sold sign outside my house,check my phone,got 4 voicemails from the estate agent asking permission to show someone round the house last friday on the same day in the evening when they knew full well i was in greece so wouldnt reply and asking to show someone round the same day isnt even 24 hours notice.Even though id asked them to wait until i was back before i went away they still showed people round,havent even left a voicemail,email or letter to say the house had been sold either,surely this isnt allowed is it? thankyou
