Please could you post privately in mums advice private chat …
I’m after some financial advice.
Me and my little ones dad are together relationship wise but live apart and lead very separate lives in the way we both live.
My partner earns a decent wage for his age but his bills are just out of this world.
I’m on maternity leave atm for one more month so getting 520 Mat pay, child tax credits and child benefits. (Not sure what happens when MAT pay stops?)
Our little one goes through around 5/6 tubs of milk a month.
My point…. should I be asking his dad to give us a set amount of money a Month? If so how much? He pays CSA for his daughter who is 6 and he hasn’t seen her for 5 years, that is £150 a month.
I really struggle to get by each month, at the end of last week I really did only just have exactly enough feeds for little man until I got child tax.
I’m just really confused with what’s right/best,
His dad will say he won’t let his son go without but I know he barely gets by himself so I just don’t bother asking him for anything.
Some please make me see things a little clearer????
Should maybe add our little man is 5 months.
