Do Not Tell Your Children You Love Them

Do Not Tell Your Children You Love Them

How many times a day do you tell your children you love them?

How many times a day do they hear you say I love you to other people or things?

Do you end a call with your partner with “Bye love you”.
Your children hear you express the word love countless times a day, you love this new outfit, you love the new tv series, you love that Hollywood actor, my god you love so much.

So when you tell your child you love them, do you love them as much as the shoes you bought on sale? Of course you love them more, but to a child the word Love is  becoming as common as the word “The”, “No”, and “okay”, “in a minute” .

Change it up people, try:

“I love the way you smile”.

“You make me so happy when you draw such beautiful pictures”.

“You are amazing, I’m so proud that you’re mine”.

“You are so kind-hearted”.

“How are you so clever, I like how hard you try”.

So do not tell your child you love them, ONLY, add some more to it, make your child  realise what they really mean to you and how great they are, build them up, make them believe in themselves.

Don’t just use the words I love you, show them every day.

Ttop telling silly objects you love them, say you like them yes but love them NO, hug your child, talk to them, actually listen to what your child has to say, put don your phone, tablet, laptop take in everything your child is doing and  describe what you like about them, let them know they are special, they are amazing, your child will grow so quickly make sure you don’t miss it.
