Hi can iv a post please

My partner wants advice about what to do in regards to the kids Mam. They have a goodish relationship when it comes to the kids and they have joint custody of the two girls.
Anyways, we went away a few weeks ago and the kids have asked if they can go again next year. We have been searching to go again and we found a great deal because we’re retiring customers so we wanted to put a deposit down. He text the kids Mam and said he’s going to take them away the 28th of July next year for two weeks. We didn’t get a reply so we just left it. Last night at half 3 a message came in and was very aggressive.. the message was,
“you don’t dare tell me when your taken the kids, I’ll decide what weeks you have them, and anyways you can’t have them for two weeks because I can’t go without payment for two week”

Now he’s quiet upset because he wants to do well for the kids and we took them away for 12 days this year, what’s an extra two day? Also he doesn’t have to give maintenance because it’s joint custody, but he gives €80 a week to help with the girls.. which we also know doesn’t be spent on them because she has told us before with a drunk phone call.

But what should he do in regards to this situation. They have had joint custody for 6 years now and she gets very aggressive when it comes to money.. we will give her the two weeks payment if she’s going to be snotty about it but why deny the kids a holiday?
