Any help my two year old is extremely naughty I know he is two and it’s the terrible twos.

He will be good sometimes but just before he threw his whole beans on toast everywhere all over my sofas, rug, etc which he knows is bad ! The naughty step does not work the only thing that works is to put him in his room for a few minutes. Then when I come back in I get down to his level and tell him what he has done wrong and he says sorry.

Straight away he will do it again it’s like he never learns. It’s making me and my partner argue as he had to watch him for 40 minutes while I was at my hospital appointment I could hear my son kicking off and misbehaving while I was in there ( my OH is very strict) and he wouldn’t even listen to him just running away and grabbing other people etc etc.

He was ment to get a McDonald’s as a treat before anyone says I shouldn’t be giving him it. But because of his bad behaviour we didn’t go. Anyway my OH was saying I should eat a McDonald’s infront of him to teach him a lesson I said no and I think that’s being cruel and he says I should listen to him as he has a well behaved seven year old from another relationship who would never go on the way my son does.

I would like to know what other parents do when their kids are naughty ? I never know what’s being cruel or be cruel to be kind. Maybe I’m to soft 😩
