  • Yes I had this, started off as twins, it had stopped growing at 5 weeks. They didn’t do anything said would dissolve into the lining and it did by my 20 wk scan it had completely gone. Ended up with one very healthy little girl x

  • I went for a scan last week and seen a little sac and asked what it was, the midwife said it’s the sac that the baby has came from and that it doesn’t disappear until after 12 weeks? Could be the same thing

  • It’s possible that two sacs formed as though twins were conceived but only one twin grew and the other never formed. You didn’t lose it, it just didn’t begin growth in the sac x

  • I had this with my current pregnancy 2 sacs and one baby got told that it happens sometimes that one doesn’t develop and the sac will dissolve into the womb lining 🙂

  • Basically, yes that’s what it sounds like. We’re having twins and if there is an empty sac it’s called vanishing twin syndrome xx
