So I currently live with my partner and 18 month old in a council flat. Both our names are on the tenancy. Things aren’t going well and I’m not happy. I’ve been with him nearly 4 years but it just isn’t working.

The only thing stopping me is that he says to me if we were to ever break up that he’s taking the flat and our baby and I have to find somewhere to go.

Please reassure me what do I do? He’s a policeman so says he would get her over me. We both work full time but he does shifts.

Feeling stressed and fed up and I know I don’t want this to be over but I really do need some time apart. He has said if we go on a break it’s over for good as breaks never work.

We’ve never broken up and he’s my first partner so I don’t even know what to do or say or how to even be calm and control my emotions?
