I am just asking for other people’s experiences really. I went for an early scan at the epau near me as I had pains and light headedness so my GP referred me. I got a scan and thank goodness everything is okay 😊. However at the scan they dated me and said now I have no reason to go back for my 12 week scan (I was 9+1 when I had the early scan) and was told to wait for my appointment for my 20 week one. I just feel a bit deflated if that makes sense. I was literally in there for a minute, they dated me, showed me the heartbeat then sent me on my way. I know that they’re just doing their job and I am so grateful I just feel a bit rubbish I’m gonna miss out. They didn’t measure anything or things like that. Was just wondering if anyone else has had an early scan and being told the same? Xx

Ring up maternity department the ultrasound part and say that you haven’t heard a date for your 12 week scan and they will give you one ,don’t tell them that they told you to wait for your 20 weeks scan x
You need the 12 week scan for the nuchal measurements, speak to your midwife and see what she says x
But I had 2early scans one at 6 week and another at 9 weeks and I still had my 12 week scan I was 14 weeks at the time tho x
