Can I have a post please ?
I feel so terrible, and guilt😢
Tonight’s the first night we have put our 2 year old daughter to bed without her dummie.🙁 she’s usually goes down with not fuss at 7 every night. But she’s still unsettled and keeps crying😭. I keep going in her room to comfort her and I explain she’s a big girl now and her last dummie has broken. Please tell me it gets easier. I no I have to do it some time so I have to stick at it now . Advice would be appreciated.

  • Unless you’re adamant that you want it to stop tonight you could ‘find’ it and then Christmas Eve tie some ribbon to it, get your daughter to place it on the tree and santa will take it and leave an extra special present (even if you get something little from pound shop). It’s a bit of closure for her knowing where it’s actually gone and she’s taken part in that transition x

  • I’ve let my girl keep her bottle till Christmas eve thus year she’s 3 but she doesn’t have a comforter like blanket or dummy so I let her have the bottle Christmas eve the elf is taking it and leaving her a lovely mug for her to have a warm milk in before bed 😊

  • It’s gets easier I promise🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 do not give in keep going, after a week of crying and screaming I nearly gave in but now it’s like he’s never had a dummy , I threw them straight out aswell so there was no going back
