can I have a post please?
I’m looking for advice on my 11 year old daughter
What do other mums do regarding their bedrooms? Do you clean them or make them do it? My daughter’s room is always a mess, she leaves dirty clothes all over the place and just doesn’t put stuff away after herself and always has an excuse, there’s been times when I’ve spent hours on her room cleaning and organising it and within a few days shes wrecks it again so this is why I refuse. I obviously do all her washing and ironing and put that away but I try and encourage her to put underwear in her draws but there’s been a basket there for about a week I’ve asked about 10 times she still hasn’t put it away, she doesn’t make her bed or open her curtains. Should I do it or just leave it?
She also wont sleep without a light, she has to have a lamp but the bulb has gone so I’ve tried getting her to sleep with landing light, she will but when I go to bed she will get up and turn her main light on, if I go n turn it off she will literally wake and scream, is this normal she going comp in Sept?
She can also be very lazy she just wants to lounge around and everything seems an effort i have to make her go out and play sometimes, shes my eldest child so I just don’t know what’s normal for her age so any advice welcome 🙂
