Can I have a post please? I’m needing some advice, I have a 1 year old boy and he’s very aggressive. If I try to hug him, he’ll push my head away, pull my hair, hit me etc, even if I just sit next to him he’ll do it, is this normal? He hasn’t witnessed any violence or aggression between myself and anyone else, especially my partner because we just aren’t like that, he doesn’t get to see it on tv because we have cbeebies on all through the day for him til he’s in bed. Should I be worried or is it a little boy phase? If I tell him off he just laughs, I know he’s young to understand but he knows by me raising my voice he’s done wrong because he responds by having a tantrum. For the most part he’s a happy smiley baby and everyone comments on that but I just wonder if anyone else has experienced this and how they deal with it? Thank you.

  • I wouldn’t worry to much apparently it’s just a phase, my little boy is exactly the same and he’s 1 aswell. It’s only me that lives with my son and CBeebies is always on our tv too and he certainly doesn’t get smacking or anything from me or my family. When he does smack and things I raise my voice a little and he reacts the same by throwing himself everywhere when he knows I’m serious. I know they are only little and some people may disagree but it’s the only way he understands that it’s naughty. If he carries on hitting then I just sit him in his cot for a minute until he calms down then get him out. After that he normally just plays with his toys or sits with me. I’m sure he will grow out the phase xx

  • Think it’s a phase my lil girl is the same at the min with me. If she doesn’t get her own way I’m the one who gets whacked I just tell her it’s naughty she just laughs and does it more 😂
