Can I have a post please?
My little girl is 5 weeks old and I am lucky if she takes 12 oz of milk in 24 hours!! She feeds every 4 hours and has the max of 2 oz a feed. It can also take up to an hour to get her to have that 2 oz!! I’ve tried changing the teat to the next size up and I’ve tried changing bottles but neither have made any difference at all. She is having wet nappies so I’m not worried about dehydration but I am so worried she isn’t having enough milk. The HV has said she is fine as she is putting on weight and having wet nappies. She was born with a minimal tongue tie so I’m not sure whether this contributes to the problem with her feeding? She gets her wind up fine but someone screams on the bottle (not all the time) & also has green runny pooh. I really don’t know what to do next 😢

Dont forget her stomach will be about the size of an egg cupp. As long as she is drinking and putting on weight she will be fine. As for green poo, if I remember that’s normal at this age x
I would possibly say the tongue tye may be influencing what she drinks. It’s deffo a possibility to see if they can cut it. Rule it out.
other then that. She will only drink what she wants. she sounds content xxx
