warning long post

how do I explain to my son about where his dad is. his dad walked out on us when he was 4 months old he couldn’t cope anymore even tho he never did nothing when he was there and he hadn’t seen him until a year later for his christening which was for about half an hour 3 years ago then after that was last august for 20 minutes, he randomly came out yesterday talking to his friend that his dad had died when riding a motorbike from a bad man which hasn’t at all and then today he said he misses his daddy he wished the bad man hadn’t got him and killed him I’ve tried telling him he’s not dead but I don’t know how to explain it he’s nearly 5 and has got autism and ADHD I wanna handle it properly and in a way where he will understand and isn’t going to have a big meltdown

thanks in advance for any advice or tips I’m out of ideas how to deal with this
