Can I have a ppp

I really need some advice or help. I have two grown up daughters aged 21 and 18 and I do not remember them being this bad! I now have a one year old so who just does not sleep! He goes down at 7 ish on his own with no problems. There is no pattern he just wakes up, Iv tried everything, from giving him a bottle (sometimes he wants it n goes back to sleep n other time he doesn’t), Iv tried sleeping in his room, leaving him to cry, putting him back in my room n even in my bed. Iv been to the health visitor which quite frankly was a waste of time as their advice is to keep my hand on him till he falls back to sleep. Four nights ago he slept through the night( very rare) no change to his daytime routine, and then back to normal. He wakes up to 5 times a night, or just once but stays awake for 3 hours. If I leave him he starts head butting the cot n generally goes crazy. If I get him out he thinks we r going to play. I honestly just don’t know what to do for the best! He has an hours nap in the day….. it used to be longer but the health visitor told me to put a stop to that so I did.
