Can I have a ppp

Been going through a rough battle with my ex (my sons biological father) he moved hundreds of miles away after I walked out because of what he did to my family behind my back while I was pregnant with his son, the problem I’ve got is he’s only seen my almost 7 year old 6 times dragged me through court twice for contact and then eventually for parental rights which were given but was granted supervised contact with a social worker present turned up to one contact and not bothered since so my son hasn’t seen him in 13 months what my problem now is, I made contact with him trying to influence contact between him and my son but because he didn’t get it his way threats with court and having my son taken off me started, my son knows who he is but sees my hubby as his dad and has for 4 years now, I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing but I don’t think he should be around my son when he’s put him through so many court cases to be let down time and time again with his empty promises (sorry for the long one ) think I just need a bit or reassurance
