39 weeks pregnant tomorrow, I was induced last night at 6.30 due to 3 episodes of reduced movement throughout my pregnancy. this is my first baby btw.. I started having contractions a few hours later, the MW just keeps giving me codeine and paracetamol. the pain is excruciating … they’re lasting about 50 seconds every 3/4 minutes. I guess what I want to know is how long after did actual labour start?… did it start before they examined you 24 hour after inserting the pessary ? I’m confused but they don’t help … I don’t know what to expect 😞

I’ve been induced 3 times, 37 weeks with my first 41 weeks with my second and 36 weeks with my third, once the tablet/pessary was inserted I was4-5 cm in a few hours and we’re able to break my water then a few hours later baby arrived. Longest labour has been 5 and a half hours. Once my water was broken they stuck me on the drip
I had the pessary then two other tablets each in for 6 hours after that I was only 2cm somebody checked to see if the could break my waters they did that at 9:30 then by 6:45 my child was here 🙂 she’s now five days old. Good luck, definitely worth it in the end x
I was induced with all 4 of my children. each one was different. but once they broke my waters they were all born 24 hours later. if u wanna pm me I’m happy to chat x
I was induced at 39 weeks. They put me on a drip n broke my waters start to finish was 5 hours. They say first Labour can last about 15 hours or so x
Everyones labour is different, my quickest was 2 minutes my longest was 14 hrs,
