Can I have a private post please,
A month ago, my son suffered some sort of seizure, he was in bed and coughing, went quiet, I went in to check on him and he was laying unconscious, we did everything we could to wake him but he was unresponsive, we called an ambulance but due to where we live it took an hour for them to arrive. During the time it took, he started to come round but went to the toilet twice in his nighttime nappy, as if he couldn’t control it, and his eyes were rolled back and started changing colour, thankfully he had come round by the time the ambulance arrived, they did checks and put it down to the fact they thought he had held his breath and passed out, which apparently is a common thing with children. But almost exactly a month later (last week) the same thing happened again, but this time he was disorientated and confused, he was crying and coughed again and went lethargic, but because it happened while he was in our room we managed to catch it earlier so could keep him conscious by talking to him, although he was talking to us he didn’t make much sense and couldn’t stand up unaided. We called an emergency doctor who again checked him over and sent us to A&E, were we spent the night with various tests which all came back clear. He has now been booked in for an EEG for 3 months time. The 2 clear similarities in the episodes are that the days before were very hot and he played outside and that he went to bed slightly later than usual.
He is 3 and a half.
My questions are, has anyone ever had a similar experience?
Any experience of an EEG in a child?
Sorry about the long post and thanks ❤️
