Hey mums,I’m looking for some advice.

So basically after years and years of not being listened to I have finally had my concerns listened to. My 7 year old son is being put forward for assessment for ASD/ADHD this is through a central hub here in Cornwall who put him forward to a waiting list to be assessed by CAHMS. I cannot express how relieved I am that something is being done,but I was informed they won’t assess him for 2 years as that’s how long the waiting list is and that I can use the other support they offer for pre diagnosed children such as parenting support, my heart has totally sunk! 2 years!! I know I am not the only parent struggling and I understand they are a small group for lots of children but two years of not knowing and not knowing how to support my child is soul destroying,is there anything else I can do? The school said they could refer me to a quicker route but it would still be up to the hub. I feel so totally deflated 😩😩

Anyone in my position?
I don’t think they know how difficult that is for us as parents.
