Can I have a private post please Hun, with this photo attached, noticed on my 5 year old today a squishy lump as u can see on photo, will be going straight to doctors tomorrow, I’ve googled it and says it’s lymph nods? It’s a lump fighting an infection. Any advice??? Lump is in the groin area.

  • Going through the same with my 6yr old were going for a scan as he had his since December and now another one as come up at other side it’s very worrying iv found not to Google it as it scares u more. Hope u get a answer and it goes down xx

  • Glands can come up under the arm and in the groin area when fighting infection. It maybe normal. Try not to worry I know it’s hard not too. Just book an appointment with your gp or nurse. Try not to touch it as it can make it sore an swell more.

  • Is it painful? Google Hidradenitis Suppurativa cos that’s what it looks like, and very common for that area. While you’re waiting for a doctor’s appointment you can put germoline on it which will numb it x

  • It’s best to get these things checked but it’s probably just your child has some kind of infection. Don’t Google anything as you’ll end up panicking more. Hope little one is ok xx

  • Definitely go to the doctors. It’s probably nothing but it needs to be looked at. I would also ask for a blood test as well.

  • I could possilbly be a small groinal hernia too have it looked at because if it is then child will need a small op to fix it x
