Can I have a private post please?
I need advice regarding taking my children abroad for the first time. Their father is on the birth certificate but hasn’t seen them in over 3years. I was a victim of domestic violence which is the reason I left and other personal reasons as to why he doesn’t see the children. After we split up I had a non molestation order against him but when it ran out I didn’t renew it due to him leaving us alone. Fast forward 3years i want to take the children away but will I need his written consent? I really don’t want to have to track him down cause he will see it as an invite back into our lives. Has anyone actually been asked for written consent from the other parent or been turned away at the airport? Any advice is welcome please!
